Jennifer Iden
I’ve had the privilege of teaching at Brevard Academy since August 2021. With over ten years of experience in education, I find supporting student growth and accomplishment throughout the school year to be the most rewarding part of teaching.
I grew up in Florida and later moved to Texas to attend the University of North Texas, where I earned my degree in education. My family relocated from Houston to Brevard in June 2021, and we’ve been enjoying the local forests, waterfalls, and wildlife ever since.
I am proud to be a part of the Brevard Academy community, not only as a teacher but also as a parent to two Bulldog students, Greyson and Brenna. In addition to teaching, I am fortunate to serve as a mentor for beginning teachers, as well as a presenter for various professional development sessions and education conferences, including Brevard Academy’s Carpe Diem, the North Carolina State Charter School Conference, North Carolina Technology in Education Society (NCTIES), and the Western Carolina i-Ready Collaborative. Sharing ideas and best practices with fellow educators is one of my passions!
I’m excited to share my enthusiasm for learning with your children this year and can’t wait to see all the amazing things they will accomplish!
