Jennie VanDyke
I graduated from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania and taught elementary school in Berwick, PA. My husband and I traveled the United States during our first year of marriage. We ended up in Virginia where I again taught elementary school until I took time off to raise our four children. We moved to beautiful Brevard where my husband took over for a retiring doctor. Life has taken us on many adventures, but I always knew I would return to my passion of teaching and come back to the classroom one day. After being a part of the Brevard Academy family as a parent for over 6 years, I am excited to now be a part of the staff that has taught my own children.
I truly learned my best lessons as a teacher through raising my oldest daughter who has special needs. Every child is full of gifts and potential. It is a great privilege to love and teach young children.
In my free time, I love to sew quilts, sing, go camping at Lake Keowee, and I am still trying to learn how to really play the piano. I am thrilled to be teaching at Brevard Academy!
