Michael Terry
Hello everyone,
My name is Michael Terry, and I am the Dean of Students here at Brevard Academy. I am extremely excited to be a part of this amazing community and begin working alongside students, parents, and staff to foster a positive and engaging learning environment.
I attended Brevard College where I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Integrated Studies and Gardner-Webb University where I earned a Masters Degree in Education.
My favorite things to do are go hiking, walking my dog, riding my bike, and spending time with my friends and family.
As the Dean of Students, my main responsibility is to support the social, emotional, and academic well-being of our students. I am here to ensure that each and every student feels safe, valued, and supported throughout their educational journey. I believe that a strong and positive school culture is essential for student success, and I am committed to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment for all.
In addition to my role as the Dean of Students, I will also be working closely with teachers, parents, and staff members to develop and implement programs that promote student engagement, leadership development, character education, and academic excellence. I believe that it is essential for students to have a well-rounded education that goes beyond the classroom, and I am dedicated to providing opportunities for students to grow both academically and personally.
I want to emphasize that my door is always open, and I encourage students, parents, and staff to reach out to me with any concerns, questions, or ideas. I am here to listen, support, and advocate for the needs of our students, and together, we can create an environment where every student can thrive. I believe that every student deserves a high-quality education that equips them with the knowledge, skills, and character to thrive in our ever-changing world.
I am truly honored to be part of this incredible school community, and I look forward to getting to know each and every one of you. Thank you for the warm welcome, and I am excited for the great things we will accomplish together.
